I am a qualified Sports Therapist and a current member of the Sports Therapy Organisation (STO). I have completed a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Clinical Sports Therapy as well as a MSc course in this field. In addition, I have just completed a course in Western Medical Acupuncture with BAWMA. I launched the Enhance & Recover Sports Therapy Clinic in 2020. Based in an accessible location in Manchester, this clinic offers a comprehensive variety and extensive treatment modalities to all our clients.
Our Mission & Vision
My knowledge consists of a wide range of treatments including; sports massage, soft tissue release, soft tissue mobilisation, acupuncture, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release. Furthermore, I love meeting new people and understanding what their goals and targets are in life. I aim to improve ones’ physical and psychological well-being in the sessions I conduct, as well as providing the necessary aftercare advice. Moreover, I look to tailor any recommended exercises to suit a client needs in order to reach a successful and beneficial outcome.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my appointments last for?
Sports massage sessions can range from 30 min, 60 min and 90 min sessions. Whereas sports therapy and acupuncture sessions last up to an hour
What should I wear?
Preferable shorts and loose clothing in order to easily access skin. Women should consider wearing a sports bra.
Will I have to undress?
Yes you would have to undress as some treatments require a persons to remove clothing such as their top for a sports massage or treatments such as acupuncture that require points on the chest being accessed. Postural assessments require the person to remove aspects of their clothing as well.
How can I pay for my appointment?
At the moment we only accept cash payments

Can I change or cancel my appointment?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel any bookings
What happens if I am late for my appointment?
We advise you to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment starting. You must notify me if you are late. If you fail to do so, and I am unable to contact you, your appointment is automatically cancelled.
I found my treatment relaxing and effective. I saw John for acupuncture (and moxa) on my knee for the first time. He was very professional and polite. I had my first session of acupuncture today with John. Before I arrived, I was feeling a little nervous, but John made me feel at ease and relaxed. John is extremely professional and polite. He answered all my questions regarding the treatment. His COVID declaration forms were extremely professional and full PPE was worn by John. John is very knowledgeable, and his clinic is well set up. He analysed my knee and did a few exercises to determine what the potential issues are. He suggested the use of KT tape which can support my knee during sporting and gym activities. He also suggested a range of exercises and techniques that may help strengthen my knee.
